my HusTle~ GREEDY GENIUS

Launched to the public in Autumn 2006, Greedy Genius' initial offering was a colorful array of sneakers that many people signed off as mere copies of another well established brand, Bathing Ape. Despite this similarity, Greedy Genius went on to launch more sneaker designs in 2007 and surprised the initial critics as the brand took on its own unique style and identity. Their current influence of style seems to evolve from popular retro sneaker designs.
History:
According to their website, Greedy Genius’ objective is to “revolutionize the footwear market by developing a rebellious, independent sneaker.” The four partners involved in this limited sneaker company first came together in 2005 to devise a plan that would have them launched in 2006.

Each founder had originally contributed to the growth and development of various major apparel and footwear companies. Furthermore, all four hail from different corners of the globe — the U.S., Africa, Asia and Europe. The four founders theorized that their cultural diversity would be helpful in shaping their overall brand concept.
Today:
Greedy Genius plans to incorporate into a full-fledged lifestyle brand featuring footwear, apparel, watches, eyewear and toys.

sTyle Star~Amber Rose

wHo is Amber Rose?

NSG reports:

I don't know Amber Rose , nor do I care to do more research. Some may color inside the lines, while others simply can't. MisS AmBer Rose definitely colors outside the lines...but why not? As I surfed the net for these pics, I noticed some that would be considered inappropriate for immature and MATURE audiences....but isn't it wonderful that besides her reputation...she is a supporter of fashion. I'm no judge, I am simply an observer.

Hope you enjoy these pics :-)

INVENTOR SPOTLIGHT~Who Invented YouTube?

3 GUYS

Steve Chen, Chad Hurley and Jawed Karim

1.65 BILLION DOLLARS

YouTube was invented by Steve Chen, Chad Hurley and Jawed Karim out of a garage in Menlo Park. The inventors became millionaires when they sold their invention for 1.65 billion dollars to the search engine Google.

According to their fact sheet, YouTube was founded in February 2005, as a destination to watch and share original videos worldwide through the Web. Users can upload and share video clips on www.YouTube.com and YouTube enables video embedding that allows YouTube videos to be placed on non-YouTube pages.
Below is a picture of the inventors.
(Left-Chad Hurley, Center-Steve Chen, Right-Jawed Karim)
YouTube Inventor - Steve Chen was born in 1978 in Taiwan and immigrated to the United States when he was 15. He was educated at the University of Illinois and and after graduation found employment at PayPal, where he met his fellow YouTube co-inventors and co-founders Chad Hurley and Jawed Karim. Currently, Steve Chen serves as the Chief Technology Officer at YouTube.
YouTube Inventor - Chad Hurley was born in 1977 and received a Bachelors degree in Fine Art from the University of Pennsylvania. He later was employed eBay’s PayPal division. Currently, Chad Hurley serves as the Chief Executive Officer at YouTube and is considered a whiz at user interface design. As a sidenote: Hurley designed Paypal's trademark logo.
YouTube Inventor - Jawed Karim also worked at Paypal, where he meet his future corporate cohorts. However, Karim has also pursued an advanced degree at Stanford University and is considered the elusive member of the threesome. According to Jawed Karim the inspiration for YouTube came from the halftime faux pas committed by Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake, when Janet’s breast was accidently exposed. Karim could not easily find that video clip online and then a few others. Not a problem he would have today.

FUnKY ~ FrESH: SPRING 2009 HEELS

"Each fashion season, it’s always fun to see what the designers do to that shoe part called the heel. Paris Fashion Week tends to bring out the most beautiful and sometimes the most outlandish heels of all the fashion shows and Paris Spring 2009 was no exception. Here’s a quick retrospective of the heels. Which were your favorite? "
